Branch Position Description
Branch purpose and overview
Branches are of a group of volunteers who form a committee and work together in their local community to achieve amazing things in support of the Leukaemia Foundation.
You will be ambassadors and advocates for the Leukaemia Foundation, whilst also having the opportunity to be creative by hosting your own events and fundraising activities.
This is a hands-on volunteer role perfectly suited to those who want to give back to their local community and see first-hand the contributions you make.
Branch Committments
Branch structure
We would like each of our Branches to appoint a Leader or Chairperson for the Branch. There is a minimum of three committee members required to form a Branch and you can give the other members specific roles, such as secretary or treasurer, or simply call everyone a member. We encourage you to invite others to help share the workload of the group’s chosen activities.
Fundraising As a Branch
We ask you to support people living with blood cancer by:

Playing an active role in fundraising on behalf of the Foundation

By staging at least one fundraising event of your own each year and raising a minimum of $5,000 per year

Helping to spread the word about the Leukaemia Foundation’s major fundraising events throughout your community such as the World’s Greatest Shave and Light the Night. You may also like to run these events in your community.
Meetings
We recommend your Branch meets at least once every quarter. You may need to meet more often if you are busy planning a fundraising event.
