Registering walkers and giving out lanterns - Sunshine Coast

Role Purpose and Overview

The purpose of this role is to register participants, process donations and payments and give out lanterns.

Direct reports/functions

Reports to: Community Supporters Coordinator

Accountabilities

Volunteers in this role may be required to complete some or all of the following requirements:

  • Register people and record details

  • Take donations and provide receipts.

  • Process payments using a cash register

  • Process card payments using an EFTPOS machine

  • Cash handling

  • Process payments using a cash register

  • Process card payments using an EFTPOS machine

  • Cash handling

  • Distribute lanterns to participants 

Other Information

Attire

Please have a neat and tidy appearance Wear closed in, comfortable shoes (no heels) You will be given a high vis vest and a name badge If you are volunteering in the daytime, please wear a wide brim hat and sunscreen If you are volunteering in the evening, you may wish to bring along a light coat.

Meal details

Water and sandwiches will be available for all volunteers. Other food vendors will be available for purchase on the night.
