Role Purpose and Overview
The purpose of this role is to safely guide our Light the Night participants as they walk on a pre-designated route and help pack down the event.
Direct reports/functions
Reports to: Community Supporters Coordinator.
Accountabilities
Volunteers in this role may be required to complete some or all of the following requirements:

Collect lantern to carry on the night

Head out on walk route with the team leader

Stand in allocated spot on walk route

Guide participants during the Light the Night walk

Do a litter sweep on the way back to the site

Clear event site

Assemble chairs and tables for collection

Pack down remaining lanterns
-
Pack down merchandise and registration tents

Assist with food vendor exit
-
Clean site of rubbish
Other Information
Attire
Please have a neat and tidy appearance Wear closed in, comfortable shoes (no heels) You will be given a high vis vest and a name badge If you are volunteering in the daytime, please wear a wide brim hat and sunscreen If you are volunteering in the evening, you may wish to bring along a light coat.
Meal details
Water and sandwiches will be available for all volunteers. Other food vendors will be available for purchase on the night.

We suggest you bring the minimum, as we cannot guarantee security.
